Shot Mimic uses your iPhone's camera in real time to analyze your shooting form. It uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect body joint positions during your shot. No video is recorded, saved, or transmitted. The camera feed is processed frame-by-frame and immediately discarded — nothing is written to your photo library or sent anywhere.
If you choose to import a video clip to create a custom player profile, Shot Mimic reads that video from your photo library. The video is processed locally on your device to extract pose data. The video file itself is not copied, stored, or transmitted by the app.
Shot Mimic does not use your microphone. The app speaks coaching feedback through your speaker using Apple's built-in text-to-speech — no audio is recorded.
Shot Mimic stores the following data locally on your device using iOS's standard secure storage:
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any Shot Mimic server (it may be included in your personal iCloud or iTunes device backup, which is controlled by your own Apple account settings).
Shot Mimic offers auto-renewable subscriptions processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not handle or store any payment information. Subscription management, billing, and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID account settings.
Shot Mimic uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. All processing uses Apple's built-in frameworks (Vision, AVFoundation, AVSpeechSynthesizer), which run entirely on your device.
Shot Mimic does not collect any data from users of any age. The app is suitable for all ages.
All data stored by Shot Mimic can be deleted by deleting the app from your device. iOS will remove all associated local storage at that point.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
